TheCelebrityCafe.com : Many people might agree to you as Bo Duke of The Dukes of Hazzard , whilst others probably know you as Jon Kent of Smallville . What done you confirm to horde TRICK MY WHAT?
John Schneider : Well, I’m vehement about being able to gleam the spotlight on people who work so damn hard. The people you speak to are folks who are out there in the sun, and it’s 120 degrees in Texas. You know they’re laying asphalt. It’s overworked people. It’s the hardest-working folks in the country. I’d similar to to regard that Jonathan Kent was a of the kinds of people, and I’m captivated to that. I’m captivated to folks who work hard. They must be celebrated.
TCC : This process sounds a lot similar to MTV’s “Pimp My Ride,” where vehicle shops pretence other people’s cars with jacuzzis and ping-pong tables. How is this different?
JS : Completely [different]. That uncover is all about the ride. This uncover is at least 90 percent about the people, since we’re repair apparatus that these folks use to make their living. Now, there is a small bit of tech, a small bit of interior and chrome [replacements] here and a paint job, but the number a thing is that the apparatus has to be functional. It still has to be able to lay asphalt. It still has to be able to cut down trees. It still needs to be able to siphon putrid or toxic tanks.
TCC : The uncover focuses on assisting blue-collar workers in Texas who are struggling to make ends meet. How do you describe to them?
JS : When you do a radio show, the a thing you know for certain is that it will end a day, so I describe to it. I’m similar to everybody. I have an tractable rate housing loan [for example], and I’d similar to to regard I’m a overworked guy.
TCC : Speaking of hard work, can you describe a few of the work you’ve done on the show?
JS : Well, I’ve paved a parking lot. I poured a dehydrated blend of concrete in to a driveway. I’ve cut trees down out of a reforest that was planted for that role 24 years ago. I installed up a logging lorry with a outrageous thing that looks similar to a of the grabbers that you find at an arcade. I’ve pumped putrid or toxic tanks. I’ve done a bit of everything, and I’ve been shrimping in the Gulf on a shrimp boat. It was unequivocally cool.
TCC : For the who live in the town and are not aware with life in the countryside, what about the uncover do you regard will particularly allure to them?
JS : Even if they live in a city, they’re aware with concrete. They’re aware with asphalt. They only are unaware where it comes from and who puts it there. I regard the informative segment of [the show] will be beneficial. I regard it’ll be interesting to them. Everyone’s going by a difficult time, so I’m anticipating that people will see folks who are going by a difficult time steady and may be obtain a few hope out of that.
TCC : Is there a specific person on the uncover that you identified with the most?
JS : I’d have to say the pig farmer, Willard, since he’s essentially in the pig business so his daughter can obtain an preparation and a scholarship. They’ve won all kinds of awards and ribbons for their uncover pigs. She’s been awarded several scholarships, and only this final year, my spouse and I went by that with our young daughter, who right away has a grant for volleyball. She’s going to Savannah College of Art and Design. We have 4 kids, and she’s the a that got the scholarship, so I finished up identifying with [Willard's] family the most.
TCC : With all of the help going to residents in Texas, do you regard the uncover will head elsewhere to help other blue neck cuff workers? Is there a specific town you would similar to to see the uncover take place?
JS : Definitely, I regard it’s going to go everywhere, since we’re going to run out of folks in Texas. Everybody needs a small help. In the thesis song of the show, you speak about all kinds of places, so my hope is that you strike the thoroughfare here after our 9 shows and obtain out there and help a lot more folks. I regard it should take place in the entire United States.
